Help for people in Ukraine: 1 Euro is donated for every Lower Saxony ticket purchased from metronom and enno

Anyone who buys a Lower Saxony ticket ("Niedersachsen-Ticket") from metronom and enno is supporting the people in Ukraine: for every Lower Saxony ticket sold in this manner, the railroad company metronom, to which the enno brand also belongs, is donating one Euro to "Emergency Aid Ukraine" of Aktion Deutschland Hilft until further notice. Renowned German aid organizations have teamed up in that alliance.

"As a company, we asked ourselves what we could do. With this initiative, we want to send the message that we and the people in Lower Saxony care about what is happening in Ukraine," says Dr. Lorenz Kasch, Commercial Director at metronom. "And we were looking for an idea that other public transportation companies could eventually follow." He adds that there are a number of employees at metronom who are currently very involved in organizing aid transports and accommodating refugees. "We support this and provide our employees with time off for such activities if needed and possible," Kasch explains. Refugees from Ukraine can currently also use metronom and enno regional trains free of charge, as is the case everywhere in Germany, upon presentation of an identification document.

Lower Saxony tickets are available directly from the yellow metronom and pink enno ticket machines at stations along the routes, at the metronom customer center in Uelzen, and also at quite a few kiosks, travel agencies, or tourist centers in the rail company's area of operation. A list of these sales points, called meeting points ("Treffpunkte"), is available at www.metronom.de. Lower Saxony tickets can also be purchased at the enno service center in Gifhorn and at an enno meeting point in Ilsede.
